We believe you are the best source of information about yourself, your family or your business. Most of the facts we need come directly from you through completion of applications and other questionnaires we might ask you to complete. We sometimes also obtain information through public records. For automobile insurance, for example, we might obtain a state motor vehicle report of a driving record.
We treat information about you confidentially. Your information is stored in our files and only Shaw Insurance Services owners & employees have access to these files. All files are kept secured and our building and storage areas are fully secured and monitored. Your confidential information stays safe and secure. There are times when it is appropriate to share information with others. This generally involves such people or organizations as your agent or broker or an independent claim adjuster; and on rare occasions, insurance support organizations, which gather data to help detect or prevent insurance crimes, and government offices or courts, which may subpoena records. Though our information generally originated with you or your family or business associates & employees, you do have the right to review personal information about you in our files and to request corrections of any inaccuracies.
